Texas Rangers Pitcher to Have Hip Surgery
Dane Dunning is done (better yet, Dunn?) for the 2022 season. The righty will be having arthroscopic hip surgery and that will wipe out the rest of his campaign.
Dunning had a year of mixed results with the Texas Rangers this season, and the truth is in his stats. With a 4-8 record, his ERA was up to 4.46, and that shows that he did have some struggles in 2022. However, he will have a clean slate next season and will be aiming to be more reliable because of it.
With the Rangers completely out of the playoff race, it makes sense for Dunning to have surgery now rather than during the offseason. This will result in him being able to return to the mound quicker, and he should be good for the start of next season because of it.
