Tampa Bay Rays Call Up Pitcher

Last week, the Tampa Bay Rays designated Dusten Knight for assignment. He went on to clear waivers and now, his contract has once again been selected onto the Rays' 40-man roster. As a result, he will be joining the major league squad.

With Jalen Beeks hitting the injured list, this gave the Rays an open spot to call up another player. Knight is the lucky player who received this chance, and now he will be aiming to maintain his spot this time around.

Knight has made four appearances with the Rays this season, where he sports a 0-1 record to go along with a 4.50 ERA. Overall, he has had mixed results when called upon, and he will be aiming to be more consistent from here. Time will tell if this call-up will be a permanent one, but for now, all Knight can do is take it one game at a time.
