San Francisco Giants Release Pitcher
The San Francisco Giants just placed Dominic Leone on the injured list, but they now have made another roster move centering around the reliever. This time around, the 30-year-old has been released by the team.
This likely means that Leone's injury will keep him out for the rest of the season, so the Giants have elected to make more roster space. Now, Leone is a free agent and will be looking for a new home for the 2023 campaign.
The 2022 season hasn't been the best for Leone, but he also has not been terrible. In 55 games, he had a 4-5 record to go along with a 4.01 ERA. Although he didn't replicate his 1.51-ERA season from just last year, he still had some decent moments. Don't be surprised to see him find a new home for next season with relative ease.
