San Francisco Giants Pitcher Placed On Injured List

The San Francisco Giants have placed Alex Wood on the 15-day injured list due to a shoulder impingement.

Giants manager Gabe Kapler said that they will evaluate Wood's condition later this week and determine if he is healthy enough to return before the season is over. Given the fact that the regular season is in its final month, it certainly is possible that Wood's 2022 season could be over. This is especially true when remembering that the Giants have a 64-68 record.

If Wood's season is over, it's fair to say he had his struggles in 2022. In 26 games, he sports an 8-12 record to go along with a very high 5.10 ERA. Here's to hoping that he has the chance to return before the season is over and end the year on a high note.
