San Francisco Giants Outfielder Done For Season

Luis Gonzalez's 2022 season is over, as the rookie outfielder has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a lower-back strain.

With the Giants' very disappointing campaign, they are out of the playoff race, so it makes sense for Gonzalez to rest for the remainder of the season. There's no need for him to worsen his injury playing in games that simply do not matter for the Giants, so his focus will be on 2023 from here.

In 98 games this season, Gonzalez had four home runs, 36 RBIs, and a .254 batting average. Overall, not a bad first full season for the right fielder.
