San Diego Padres Infielder Placed On Concussion List
The San Diego Padres will be without Brandon Drury for at least a week, as the infielder has been placed on the seven-day concussion injured list.
When noting that the Padres are currently aiming to cement their playoff spot, it is rough that Drury has to miss time. Given the unpredictability of concussions, it's also hard to determine when he will feel okay enough to return to action. Furthermore, he also cannot be rushed back because of the severity of concussions.
Drury was one of the Padres' deadline acquisitions. In 119 games split between the Cincinnati Reds and Padres this campaign, he has 25 home runs, 79 RBIs, and a .262 batting average. When looking at these totals, it's clear that he is having himself a strong year, and his bat will be missed in San Diego's lineup. Here's to hoping he has a speedy recovery from here.
