San Diego Padres Designate Pitcher For Assignment
The San Diego Padres have made a change to their 40-man roster, as Tayler Scott has been designated for assignment.
Scott has made eight appearances for the Padres this season, where he has put together a 0-1 record to go along with a 6.75 ERA. These kinds of numbers are not too impressive, so it ultimately makes sense that San Diego has elected to remove him from their 40-man roster.
Due to this development, Scott will now be placed on waivers. Teams looking for some pitching depth could elect to take a flyer on the 30-year-old, and this is especially true if they are dealing with several injuries.
In 21 career MLB games between the Seattle Mariners, Baltimore Orioles, and Padres, Scott has a 0-1 record and 11.12 ERA.
