Red Sox Place Infielder on IL Again
There's a very good chance his season is over.
The Boston Red Sox have placed infielder Trevor Story on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to September 19, with a left heel contusion.

Story has not played in a game since September 11, and now the Red Sox are officially shutting him down for an extended period of time. Technically, he could still return for the final week of the season, but it has not yet been determined if that's the plan.
I’m quite sad that we might not see Trevor Story again until 2023. 😞pic.twitter.com/8a4wsbRt0d

The twenty-nine-year-old has had an up-and-down season in his debut with the Boston Red Sox, slashing .238/.303/.434, with 16 home runs, 66 RBIs, 13 stolen bases and 53 runs scored over 94 games played.
It's been a frustrating season for Story, who's dealt with injuries all season long.
