It's a comeback story you love to see, as Chirinos has missed almost two seasons due to right elbow injuries.
During his minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham, Chirinos posted a 3.00 ERA, 1.00 WHIP, and five strikeouts across nine innings of work. He made three starts.

The twenty-eight-year-old holds a career ERA of 3.65, a 1.14 WHIP, and 199 strikeouts across 234 innings, over the span of three seasons. He's started 28 of the 47 games he's appeared in. Another big pitching boost for an already stacked Rays bullpen.
