Pittsburgh Pirates Pitcher Placed On Injured List

The Pittsburgh Pirates will be without JT Brubaker, as the 28-year-old has been placed on the 15-day injured list.

Brubaker is in his third season with the Pirates this year, and it is fair to say that it has been a rough one for him. In 27 appearances, he has a disastrous 3-12 record and a fairly high 4.58 ERA. The losing record is due to the Pirates being a below-average team, but when looking at his ERA, it is apparent that he has had mixed results on the mound.

With the season reaching its completion, we very well may not see Brubaker return to the hill this campaign. Ultimately, with the Pirates completely out of the playoff picture, there's no need to rush him back, anyway.
