Pittsburgh Pirates Activate Pitcher

The Pittsburgh Pirates have activated David Bednar from the injured list. 

Although the Pirates are out of playoff contention, they will be happy to have Bednar back. He has had an excellent season as their closer, and he will aim to end the year on a high note that he is fully healthy.

In 41 games this season, Bednar has a 3-4 record to go along with a 2.83 ERA. With that, he has recorded 17 saves and appeared in his first All-Star Game. Let's see how well he does from here now that he is back and ready to go.
