The Pittsburgh Pirates have placed pitcher Eric Stout on the 15-day injured list.
Stout was the subject of heavy criticism all over Twitter on Wednesday night after walking Aaron Judge on four pitches when the Pirates were already down 11-2 in the eighth inning. We have activated RHP David Bednar from the 15-day injured list and placed LHP Eric Stout on the 15-day injured list.

Judge is one home run away from the AL record and, of course, no pitcher wants to be the one to give that up to him, so it's understandable in a way why he would not want to pitch to him.
Regardless, Stout's season could very well be over now and, if so, he leaves with a 5.64 ERA, 1.84 WHIP, and 25 strikeouts over 22 innings in the majors this season.
In the minors this year, the twenty-nine-year-old has been very solid, registering a 2.93 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 63 strikeouts across 43 innings. He made 26 relief appearances, started one game, converted one save and holds a 3-2 record.
