Philadelphia Phillies Provide Update On Nick Castellanos
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Nick Castellanos left Friday's game due to a right oblique issue. The veteran is now set to have an MRI to determine the severity of the problem. Phillies manager Rob Thomson also noted that he's optimistic that the MRI is just precautionary.
With the Phillies aiming to catch up in the NL East standings, they certainly will be hoping that Castellanos does not have to miss any serious amount of time. Although his first season with the Phillies hasn't been as dominant as fans expected, he still has provided decent offense from the plate.
In 128 games this season for the Phillies, Castellanos has 13 home runs, 61 RBIs, and a .265 batting average. Here's to hoping that the MRI results turn out to be okay. If not, the Phillies may not have one of their top talents for some time.
