Philadelphia Phillies Outfielder Placed On Injured List
The Philadelphia Phillies have placed Nick Castellanos on the 10-day injured list due to a right oblique strain.
It was previously reported that Castellanos would be having an MRI. At the time of this writing, the severity of his injury has not been announced to the public, but at a minimum, he will be out for the next week and a half at least.
With the Phillies looking to make a push for a playoff spot, losing Castellanos is not ideal. He is one of their top hitters, so not having that kind of pop in their lineup during a crucial part of the season is simply bad news. It will be even worse, however, if he is unable to return before the regular season is over.
In 128 games this season, Castellanos has 13 home runs, 61 RBIs, and a .265 batting average.
