Philadelphia Phillies Call Up Reliever

Chris Devenski is getting his chance with the Philadelphia Phillies, as he has been called up to their major league squad.

had a disastrous time with the Arizona Diamondbacks this season. In 10 appearances with them, he had a 2-1 record but a very high 7.59 ERA. This led the team to move on from the former All-Star, and he signed a minor league pact with the Phillies shortly after. Now, he is getting a shot with the Phillies and will be hoping to stay with them for the remainder of the year.

It will be intriguing to see if Devenski can find success in Philadelphia. If so, it could result in him getting interest from other clubs this offseason.
