Philadelphia Phillies Activate Pitcher

Zack Wheeler is back for the Philadelphia Phillies, as he has been activated from the injured list.

This is certainly what the doctor ordered for the Phillies. They are currently trying to cement themselves a playoff spot in the National League. At the time of this writing, they have a 2.5-game lead over the Milwaukee Brewers for the final Wild Card spot, so things are going right to the wire. Thus, getting a top pitcher like Wheeler back is fantastic news for them.

Wheeler has been very good for the Phillies this season. In 23 games, he has an 11-7 record to go along with a 3.07 ERA. He has been as reliable as they come, so getting him back in the rotation is a massive win for the Phillies. Let's see if he maintains this form post-injury from here.
