Orioles Option Two Pitchers

The Baltimore Orioles have optioned a couple arms. 

The Orioles have optioned pitcher Joey Krehbiel to Triple-A Norfolk. 

- Optioned RHP Joey Krehbiel to Triple-A Norfolk after yesterday’s game.
- Optioned RHP Jake Reed to Triple-A Norfolk after yesterday’s game.
- Placed INF Ramón Urías on the 10-day Injured List with a right knee sprain.#orioles

Krehbiel had allowed nine earned runs over his last 5.2 innings of work with the Orioles. He leaves behind a decent 3.90 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, and 45 strikeouts over 57.2 innings. In 56 relief appearances, he has a 5-5 record.

The Orioles have also optioned pitcher Jake Reed to Triple-A Norfolk. 

Reed was claimed off waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers earlier this month and went on to allow six runs in 5.2 innings with the Orioles. The twenty-nine-year-old has posted a brutal 7.02 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, and 13 strikeouts across 16.2 innings of work this season.
