Oakland Athletics Pitcher Has Tommy John Surgery

Daulton Jeffries' 2023 is already over, as the 27-year-old has had Tommy John Surgery. This comes after he already had season-ending thoracic outlet syndrome surgery back in July.

Needless to say, Jeffries has been going through a lot, and now this Tommy John surgery will keep him out until at least the beginning of the 2024 campaign. It is certainly rough to hear, as the right-hander has been aiming to cement himself as a full-time starter in the bigs. Unfortunately, this development will put those plans on hold for a long time.

Jeffries appeared in a career-high eight games this season, where he had a 1-7 record to go along with a 5.72 ERA.
