New York Mets Pitcher Placed On Injured List

The New York Mets have placed Trevor May on the injured list. At this juncture, the reasoning behind this placement has not been announced by the team.

The 2022 season hasn't been particularly impressive for May, so adding an injury to the mix is rather unfortunate. The 32-year-old has struggled immensely during his second season as a Met, as he has a 2-0 record to go along with a very high 6.11 ERA.

May just put together a strong 2021 season, where he had a 7-3 record and 3.59 ERA. Things just haven't worked out for him in 2022, but he will be hoping for the chance to end the season on a high note from here. However, if May doesn't show improvement over whatever is plaguing him, he may not get that chance.
