New York Mets Outright Pitcher
Earlier this week, the New York Mets designated Connor Grey for assignment. Yet, the 28-year-old has since cleared waivers and now has been outrighted to Triple-A Syracuse.
Although Grey was called up to the Mets in late-August, he did not end up making his major league debut. Now, the odds are more stacked up against him, as he is off the club's 40-man roster. With this season in its final chapter, Grey does not have much time to change that. Thus, there's a real chance that he will not make his MLB debut during his age-28 season.

Grey has had a year of mixed results in Triple-A Syracuse, but he will now be aiming to end the year on a high note. In 22 appearances for the minor league squad, he sports a 5-5 record to go along with a fairly high 5.81 ERA. Overall, those numbers are not too impressive, but let's see if he can improve upon them before the year is completely done.
