Minnesota Twins Star Done for Season
Byron Buxton's 2022 season is over, as the All-Star outfielder is set to have season-ending knee surgery.
Buxton dealt with knee trouble all season, so at the end of the day, it makes sense that he is now getting surgery. Due to a collapse, the Twins find themselves with a 73-78 record and 11 games behind the Cleveland Guardians in the AL Central standings. Thus, no playoff games will be played in Minnesota this season, so now is the time for Buxton to get things fixed.
Injury trouble aside, Buxton had an excellent 2022 season. In 92 games, he had a career-high 28 home runs, 51 RBIs, and a .224 batting average.
