Minnesota Twins Place Pitcher On Outright Waivers
The Minnesota Twins have placed Randy Dobnak on outright waivers.
This is certainly not what the Twins expected to do when they signed Dobnak to a five-year, $9.25 million contract back in 2020, but alas, it has come to fruition. Dobnak has not appeared in a major league game this campaign due to a finger injury. He had been on a rehab assignment and needed to be reinstated, but the Twins have instead decided to place him on the waiver wire.
With Dobnak having multiple years left on his contract and dealing with a long-term injury, it seems unlikely that another team will take a flyer on him. In 33 career MLB games, he has a 9-12 record and 4.94 ERA.
