Minnesota Twins Place Infielder On Injured List
The Minnesota Twins have officially placed Jorge Polanco on the 10-day injured list due to the lingering knee inflammation that he has been dealing with. This placement is retroactive to August 31st.
Polanco has not been in the lineup since August 27th due to this injury, so a trip to the IL is something we could have seen coming. The Twins were hoping that some rest would help him require without a stint to the IL, but that, unfortunately, did not come to fruition.
The Twins are aiming to cement their playoff spot, so losing any player right now is bad news. Yet, this is especially true when noting what Polanco can provide when hot. He just had a 33-home run campaign, keep in mind, so he's capable of giving the team excellent offense. Alas, for the next little bit at least, they will not have him in their lineup.
