Minnesota Twins Call Up Infielder
With Jorge Polanco out for the Minnesota Twins, they were in a position to bring up a player from the minors to replace him. As a result, Jermaine Palacios has rejoined the club.
Palacios has appeared in nine games for the Twins this season, and it's fair to say that he has had mixed results. In 25 at-bats, he has five hits to go along with two RBIs. Overall, he hasn't made the biggest of impact at the plate, but the rookie will be aiming to change that during this call-up. If he does, it could be what keeps him around even when Polanco is set to return to the lineup.
Palacios is having a solid year in Triple-A this campaign, as he has 14 home runs, 60 RBIs, and a .283 batting average. If some of that can translate over to the majors from here, the Twins will benefit significantly.
