Miami Marlins Pitcher Done For Season

The Miami Marlins are shutting down Trevor Rogers for the rest of the 2022 season, as the 24-year-old confirmed this to be the case to Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald.

After making his first All-Star Game appearance in 2021, Rogers struggled immensely this year. In 23 starts, he had a 4-11 record to go along with a 5.47 ERA. This was not what the Marlins expected from him this campaign, but he will now be aiming to recover from his lat strain and prepare for 2023.

When looking at how Rogers just had a season where he went 7-8 and had a very good 2.64 ERA in 25 appearances, it's fair to say that he can rebound. Let's see if that happens next season.
