Miami Marlins Outfielder Likely Done For Season

While speaking with reporters, Miami Marlins outfielder Jorge Soler said that he doesn't think he will return this season. Marlins manager Don Mattingly also said that as well.

Soler has been out since July due to back spasms, and it appears that he just isn't making enough progress to return in 2022. Ultimately, it makes sense for him to rest, too, as the Marlins are out of the playoff race. Therefore, there is no need to rush him back to action.

Soler's season ends at just 72 games played, where he had 13 home runs, 34 RBIs, and a .207 batting average. Overall, it was a fairly quiet year for the reigning World Series MVP, but he will be aiming to bounce back in 2023 from here.
