Miami Marlins Call Up Outfielder
The Miami Marlins have called up Peyton Burdick to their major league roster.
Burdick has already played in 26 games this season for the Marlins, and so far, his MLB career has been not been the most impressive. During those contests, he has two home runs, four RBIs, and a .171 batting average. Needless to say, he has struggled at the plate, but he is now getting a chance to help change that with this most recent promotion to the majors.
Burdick is a young player who is trying to cement himself as a full-time MLB player. With the Marlins being out of the playoff race, there is no risk in them taking a look at what Burdick can do for the rest of the season. Let's see if he can improve his stats from here.
