Los Angeles Dodgers Designate Pitcher For Assignment
The Los Angeles Dodgers have designated Jake Reed for assignment. As a result, he is off the 40-man roster and can be claimed off waivers.
Reed has appeared in five games since joining the Dodgers, where he has a 1-0 record but also a disastrous 7.36 ERA. His struggles since joining the team from the New York Mets are very likely why the Dodgers have opted to remove him from their 40-man roster.

Reed has been aiming to cement himself as a full-time MLB pitcher, but it just has not come to fruition. It hasn't worked with the Mets or Dodgers, so perhaps a change of scenery could be exactly what he needs to take that next step. Teams looking for some pitching depth should consider making a push for him from here.
