Los Angeles Angels First Baseman Has Surgery
Los Angeles Angels first baseman Jared Walsh has had surgery to fix his thoracic outlet syndrome. It's also been reported that he should be good to go for the start of Spring Training.
Walsh was ruled out for the remainder of the season late last month, so it isn't surprising to see that the veteran has elected to get surgery. Assuming he has no setbacks, it is the right course of action. Now, the 28-year-old just has to rest and prepare for next season.
Walsh's 2022 season wasn't particularly dominant. In 118 games, he had 15 home runs, 44 RBIs, and a low .215 batting average. Injury trouble can certainly be blamed for this, and he will now be aiming to bounce back in 2023. Keep in mind that he also just had an All-Star campaign in 2021, so there's no question he's capable of doing so.
