Houston Astros Reinstate 2 Players
Aledmys Diaz and Blake Taylor are both back for the Houston Astros, as they have been reinstated from the injured list.
Diaz has been out for roughly a month, so the veteran infielder will now be aiming to end the year on a high note. In 79 games this campaign with the Astros, he has 10 home runs, 32 RBIs, and a .256 batting average. Overall, it has been another solid year for the 31-year-old, so Houston will be happy to have him back in the lineup.
Taylor has been out since June with an elbow injury but has been on a rehab assignment for the last month. Now, he is one step closer to returning to the bigs, given his removal from the 60-day injured list. He will be staying in the minors for now, but we will have to keep our eyes open for a call-up. In 19 games this season with Houston, he has a 1-1 record and 3.94 ERA.
