Detroit Tigers Place Veteran Infielder On Injured List
The Detroit Tigers have placed Miguel Cabrera on the 10-day injured list due to a left biceps strain.

Josh Lester will be called up.
In response to this decision, Tigers manager AJ Hinch noted that he wants to get Cabrera back in the lineup before the regular season is over. He also noted that Cabrera's estimated recovery time is 10-to-14 days, so that will now leave Cabrera much wiggle room if he wants to get into a few more contests this year.
Cabrera has appeared in 102 games this season for the Tigers, where he has four home runs, 37 RBIs, and a .256 batting average. Although his days of being an elite player are gone, his leadership makes him a valuable asset to the Tigers. Let's see if he can get into more action before the season is over.
