Detroit Tigers Call Up Pitcher
The Detroit Tigers may be out of the playoff race, but that doesn't mean that they cannot make changes to their roster. As a result, they have called up Angel De Jesus to their major league roster.
With Joe Jimenez being placed on the 15-day injured list, the Tigers had a roster spot available to make a call-up. Naturally, they decided to give another pitcher a chance because of it, and De Jesus was the lucky player in question.
De Jesus has appeared in his first six major league games for the Tigers this season and during them, he has done well. His 2.89 ERA shows this effectively, and he will now be aiming to keep up this kind of pitching for the rest of the season in Detroit. Let's see if he can do just that for the squad.
