Detroit Tigers Call Up Pitcher

The Detroit Tigers have called up Luis Castillo to their major league roster.

Castillo has made three appearances for the Tigers this season, where he has yet to surrender a run. He will be aiming to keep up this solid pitching, as it could be what allows him to stick around in the majors for the rest of the season.

Castillo has been lights out in the minors this season, so it will be intriguing to see how much of this translates over to the majors. In 42 games split between Double-A and Triple-A, he sports a 5-1 record to go along with a 1.65 ERA. With numbers like these, it is fair to argue that he has earned this call-up. Let's see if he can make the most out of it from here.
