Colorado Rockies Release Pitcher
The Colorado Rockies have made a change to their roster, as they have released Jhoulys Chacin.
The 2022 season has been a disaster for Chacin, so this development isn't all too surprising. Although he has a winning record (4-2), his 7.61 ERA shows he has been anything but consistent. As a result, it makes sense that the Rockies are moving on from him. By freeing up his roster spot, they can take a look at one of their younger players as the season comes to its close.
Chacin could ink a contract elsewhere before the year is over due to his long MLB resume. In 338 career games, he has an 85-91 record to go along with a 4.18 ERA. Whether he finds a new home this season or during the offseason, expect him to find another job soon. Yet, when he does, he will need to rebound to stick around.
