Cincinnati Reds Pitcher Elects Free Agency
Ross Detwiler has cleared waivers. Instead of joining the Cincinnati Reds' Triple-A affiliate, the veteran pitcher has opted to elect free agency instead.
Detwiler has had a year of mixed results with the Reds this year. In 30 games, he had a 0-2 record to go along with a 4.44 ERA. Although he wasn't dominant, there could be some teams willing to ink him to a minor league deal if they need some depth.
In 307 career games, Detwiler has a 30-51 record to go along with a 4.56 ERA.
