Cincinnati Reds Officially Release Infielder
The Cincinnati Reds have officially released Colin Moran. With this, the veteran infielder is a free agent.
Moran was designated for assignment earlier this week, so there was a clear possibility that this would come to fruition. Yet, it also seemed possible that a team would claim the veteran if they needed some infield depth, but that did not occur. As a result, Moran will now be hoping to find a new home before the end of the season is here.
Moran's time as Red ends at 42 games played, where he had five home runs, 23 RBIs, and a .211 batting average. Overall, it has been a down year for the 29-year-old, but he will now be hoping to find a new home elsewhere and end the year on a high note.
