Cincinnati Reds Claim Pitcher Off Waivers

The Cincinnati Reds have claimed Luke Farrell off waivers from the Chicago Cubs.

Farrell is a familiar face to the Reds organization, as he spent part of the 2017 season with the club. In nine games as a Red that campaign, he had a 2.61 ERA, so it's fair to say that he was fairly reliable. Now, he is getting a second chance with the team, and he will be hoping to have a prominent role in their pitching staff for the rest of the year.

Farrell appeared in four games this campaign with the Cubs, where he sported a 0-0 record and 4.09 ERA. It will be intriguing to see how much he improves on these stats with the Reds from here.
