Chicago White Sox Pitcher Sent Down To Triple-A
The Chicago White Sox have sent down Matt Foster to Triple-A Charlotte.
This move was in response to Michael Kopech returning from the injured list. Foster was recently called back up to the majors at the beginning of the month, but he now finds himself in Charlotte again. He will be aiming to end the year on a high note from here, as it could be what gets him back in the majors.
In 48 games this season with the White Sox, Foster has put together a 1-2 record and 4.40 ERA. Overall, it is fair to say that he has mixed results in the majors this year. We will have to wait and see if he can earn himself another call-up before the 2022 season is officially over. One thing that helps his chances of receiving one is that he is still on their 40-man roster, as he did not get designated for assignment.
