Chicago White Sox Pitcher Placed On Injured List

The Chicago White Sox will be without Michael Kopech again, as he has been placed on the 15-day injured list with shoulder inflammation.

Kopech has had a solid season with the White Sox in 2022, so it stings to hear that he will have to miss time as they aim to cement themselves in a playoff spot. Although he has a losing 5-9 record, his 3.54 ERA shows that he has done plenty to keep Chicago in games. The offense just hasn't supported him.

With this IL placement being so late into the season, there's a chance that we may not see Kopech return. This will come to fruition if he does not make progress with his shoulder injury and requires another stint on the IL. Here's to hoping that this is not the case, and we see him get back on the mound.
