Chicago White Sox Claim Pitcher From Chicago Cubs

Nicholas Padilla is switching sides in the Windy City rivalry, as the Chicago White Sox have claimed him off waivers from the Chicago Cubs.

Padilla was recently designated for assignment by the Cubs, so there was a possibility that the 25-year-old would be claimed off waivers. Interestingly, he is now going to be with the White Sox, so he thankfully does not need to travel too far to join his new club.

Padilla's stint as a Cub ends after just one appearance, where he allowed one earned run in 1.2 innings pitched. Now, he will be hoping for the chance to build on his MLB resume with the White Sox. It will be intriguing to see if he can do just that from here.
