Chicago Cubs Pitcher Set To Return
According to Chicago Cubs manager David Ross, Keegan Thompson will be activated from the injured list at some point this week.
This is nice to see, as Thompson has had a solid season for the Cubs during his second professional campaign. In 25 games, he sports a 9-5 record to go along with a 3.97 ERA. Overall, he hasn't suffered a sophomore slump like many players, and he will now be aiming to keep that momentum going from here.
Ross noted that Thompson will be working from the bullpen once he returns, so we will not see him make another start this season. Yet, getting some time as a reliever before the end of the year is still good. Let's see how he handles the role from here.
