Boston Red Sox Pitcher Placed On Injured List

The Boston Red Sox will be without Kutter Crawford for the next little bit at least, as the starter has been placed on the 15-day injured list.

Crawford is dealing with a shoulder injury, so the Red Sox would be wise not to rush him back. This is especially true when noting that they are essentially out of the playoff hunt. Thus, with the season reaching its end, it wouldn't be too surprising if we do not see Crawford throw another pitch in 2022. If he does come back, it will be during the final weeks of the year, given the 15-day IL stint.

The 2022 season was Crawford's first full season in the majors. Overall, it's fair to say that he has had his struggles when called upon, however, as he has a 3-6 record to go along with a high 5.47 ERA. If he does return, he will aim to end the year on a high note. If he doesn't, let's see if he can put together a stronger year in 2023.
