Boston Red Sox Call Up Pitcher

The Boston Red Sox have called up Frank German to their major league roster.

This is big news for German, as he is now set to make his MLB debut from here. This call-up is certainly deserved when looking at how well he has done in Triple-A this campaign. In 32 games down in Worcester, he has a solid 2-1 record to go along with a 2.58 ERA. This clearly grabbed the attention of the Red Sox, and now he is getting his first chance in the bigs.

After a rapid downfall in the second half of the season, Boston finds themselves out of the playoff picture. Thus, they are in a position to try out some of their prospects, so let's see how German does from here in a low-pressure situation.
