Boston Red Sox Call Up Pitcher

The Boston Red Sox have called up Josh Winckowski from Triple-A Worcester. He is set to start Monday's game against the Texas Rangers from here.

Winckowski is no stranger to the majors this season, as he already made his first 14 career starts in 2022. It's fair to say that he has struggled during them, however, as he has a 5-7 record to go along with a 5.75 ERA. Yet, he is now being given a second chance at the majors and will be hoping to impress during it. 

Winckowski is in a position where he could land himself a role with the team for the remainder of the year if he does well from here. At a minimum, however, he will have the opportunity to pitch in the majors again. Let's see if he can help the Red Sox get a much-needed win during his start on Monday.
