The Baltimore Orioles have outrighted Travis Lakins Sr. to Triple-A Norfolk. Thus, the 28-year-old pitcher has cleared waivers.

Lakins has appeared in six games for the Orioles this season, where he has a 0-1 record and 9.58 ERA. Naturally, it's fair to say that he struggled, but this demotion offers the chance of a fresh start. If he performs well in Triple-A, it could be what leads to him getting a call-up by the end of the year.
