Baltimore Orioles Claim Pitcher Off Waivers

The Baltimore Orioles have added to their pitching depth. They did this by claiming Jake Reed off of waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Reed has had a pretty rough 2022 season that has seen him split time between the Dodgers and New York Mets. In 10 appearances between the two clubs, he had a 1-0 record to go along with a 7.36 ERA. Those numbers just aren't enough to get it done, but now he has been given a chance to rebound with the surging Orioles.

With the Orioles looking to cement themselves a shocking playoff berth, there's no harm in them exploring the waiver wire and giving chances to players like Reed. Perhaps the change of scenery will be exactly what helps him bounce back.
