With Laureano returning, someone had to be removed from the active roster to free a spot up. Cal Stevenson was the odd man out, as the Athletics have optioned him to Triple-A Las Vegas. The twenty-five-year-old has hit .167/.261/.217, with an RBI and one stolen base across 23 games in his taste of major league action.
