Arizona Diamondbacks Pitcher Placed On Injured List

The Arizona Diamondbacks have placed Kyle Nelson on the 15-day injured list due to elbow inflammation.

With this injured list placement occurring so late into the year, there's a chance that Nelson may have thrown his last pitch in 2022. Ultimately, it would be understandable if so, as Arizona is entirely out of the playoff race, and there's no need for him to risk further injury because of it.

If Nelson does not return this campaign, it's been a very good season for him. He cemented himself as a reliable reliever, as his 2-1 record and 2.19 ERA in 43 games show effectively. He will be aiming to keep this excellent pitching up in 2023 for Arizona. Let's see if he can do just that.
