Yankees Call Up Familiar Face

A familiar face is rejoining the New York Yankees.

The Yankees are calling up Miguel Andujar from Triple-A to replace the injured Matt Carpenter.

Andujar will replace Matt Carpenter on the Yankees' active roster. The twenty-seven-year-old has only got to play in 14 games at the major league level this season, hitting .245, with four RBIs and three stolen bases in those games.

Andujar will likely stick around in a reserve role for the Yankees for the next few weeks.

The former top-100 prospect has never really got a chance to prove himself at the major league level. Over his six-year career in the majors, the twenty-seven-year-old has hit a strong .276/.307/.459, with 34 home runs and 118 RBIs over 246 games.
