White Sox Option Pitcher
The Chicago White Sox have optioned pitcher Matt Foster to Triple-A Charlotte.
With Vince Velasquez returning, there isn't a spot on the major league roster for Foster right now.
Prior to tonight’s game vs. Houston, the #WhiteSox reinstated right-handed pitcher Vince Velasquez from the 15-day injured list and optioned right-hander Matt Foster to Class AAA Charlotte.

He'll head back to the minors, leaving behind a mediocre 4.50 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 40 strikeouts across 44 innings. The twenty-seven-year-old has converted one save on the season and holds a 1-2 record.
For his three-year career, Foster has an ERA of 4.43, 1.25 WHIP, and 111 strikeouts across 111 innings.
We'll most likely see Foster back in the major leagues at some point again this season.
Meanwhile, the White Sox are currently sporting a 59-56 record, putting them two games back of the Tampa Bay Rays for the third AL Wild Card spot.
